An opportunity has arisen for an Analyst in an Analytical Chemistry Department which is responsible for providing chemistry formulation and analytical support for toxicology areas and external Sponsors.

The main duties of the Analyst include participating in specifically allocated projects whilst taking absolute and sole responsibility for ensuring the quality and accuracy of their own work.
Duties will include analytical method development and validation, as well as routine analysis in support of major toxicology programmes. The successful applicant will be expected to introduce ideas for discussion and maintain a legible and permanent record of all results obtained together with relevant supporting data.
Skills / Experience
The ideal candidate will posses the following:
- Analytical laboratory experience
- A basic understanding of the pharmaceutical, bio-technology, vet sciences or agrochemicals industry is desirable as well as knowledge of GLP
- Effective organisational skills and time management are essential as well as the ability to deal with people of all levels and working as part of a team
Ability to communicate effectively, good problem solving skills and ability to work to tight deadlines and record data accurately
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and some analytical experience using HPLC and GC would be an advantage
Qualifications
You will have graduated with an Honours degree (or equivalent) in Chemistry or a Chemistry related subject
