The Role

Responsible for

  • Design (and associated upfront documentation)
  • Overseeing the development
  • Transitioning the piece back into the company (post development)
  • Assessing whether the requirements have been met
  • Undertaking Vendor Management – Primarily remotely (vendors based in UK, Europe, USA and China)
  • Some Man management responsibility (level dependant) and supporting the development of the wider team

Skills / Experience

  • Simulation Experience (P-Spice) – Essential
  • OrCad Schematic capture
  • CCT design and layout
  • Low power Micro Controller Unit
  • Ability to write clear requirements
  • Risk management tools for project and technical
  • Knowledge of semi-conductor silicon technology would be highly desirable
  • Chartered Engineer status – desirable
  • Design for six sigma methodology experience – desirable

Qualifications

Essential:

  • B.Sc. degree or BEng required plus experience.

Desirable:

  • Masters degree with some experience
  • PhD with some experience
