Christene Leiper of Onorach

Dundee-based Onorach, which supports clinical trials, is among many life sciences companies to have recruited successfully using TalentScotland’s job signposting service.

TalentScotland spoke to Managing Director Christene Leiper about her experience.

Is TalentScotland a useful resource?

When you’re on a quest for talent, it makes sense to spread the net as widely as possible. And one of the simplest ways to extend your reach is by making use of TalentScotland’s worldwide networks.

The TalentScotland website offers employers in key industries the chance to advertise their vacancies for free – targeting a ready-made audience of skilled people who are keen to live and work in Scotland.

Scottish employers in life sciences, energy, financial services, electronics and games industries can use TalentScotland’s free service to reach an international database of over 80,000 skilled jobseekers.

Businesses also make use of TalentScotland services to find UK and international graduates to fill placements, and to get free visa, immigration and relocation advice when looking to employ from overseas.

What positions do you have?

We have a regular need for clinical research assistants, and we invariably get high-quality applications through TalentScotland.

Ironically some of the best applicants come from within Scotland! But we’re an international company so we need to identify the right people for trials in all parts of the world.

Have you recruited through TalentScotland?

Our clinical project manager, US-born Jan Anderson, was recruited through the service.

Would you recommend TalentScotland?

I started to work with TalentScotland when I was with a previous company and the results have always been good. I would recommend it to anyone.
