Why did you choose to take on a graduate placement?
We recognise the need for succession planning and we wish to employ high calibre individuals who can be part of the company's development in the future. So our Graduate position is a permanent one and long term.
What is your graduate involved in?
Barney initially is involved in every area of the business, this can take around 8 months to cover and for him to get a good grounding. It is a joint decision between us and the Graduate where they best fit after that period of time, they are then in a trainee Management role and involved in the day to day aspects of running the area of the business they are placed in.
How is the graduate placement programme benefiting your organisation?
It is a huge benefit to us that there is an organisation out there that can market our Graduate position to a vast number of students that we would not have access to. Graduates are targeted to suit our specification and shortlisted before being presented to us. We would be unable to easily source Graduates directly. Additionally the support mechanism and training given further benefits our organisation.
