Placement training
Our graduate placement programme includes between two and five days residential training, to develop additional innovation and business skills. The course will help you apply all learning directly to your placement project.
Training Benefits:
- Meet fellow graduates on placement
- Learn new skills and gain confidence
- Learn more about your project and its relevance for the company
- Gain new ideas for your project/how to tackle your tasks
Who delivers the training?
The training will be delivered by staff from Aberdeen Business School (Robert Gordon University) and the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship (University of Strathclyde, Glasgow). Additional support materials will be provided online for graduates to access throughout their placement.
What graduates said about the training:
“You really start learning after university is finished, when you start to apply what you have covered and revised in this course to your placement project. I spent four years learning from books, but the real learning starts in the workplace.”
James Williamson, BSW Timber
“I have learned how to present the knowledge I have in my head using the tools and techniques we have discussed during this week. I can now use these to present and discuss ideas and actions with my boss and others.”
Chris Putt, Highland Activities
“This was also a great opportunity to meet other graduates who are on placements at the moment and maybe even work on similar projects.”
Harriet Sutton, Skyeskyns
