Role Description
The role will be primarily a sales based role with elements of marketing involved. This role will ensure that we meet our growth strategy for the forthcoming year.
The main responsibilities/tasks of the role will include:
- Create and follow up new sales leads. We currently have an extensive NHS database which will be utilised for calling. In order to generate sales the role will require attendance at meetings as well as the delivery of sales presentations/demonstrations.
- Understanding the new product, how the software works and the ways in which the software can be applied to various market sectors.
- Create quotes.
- Generate sales through current contacts as well as new contacts.
- Achieve sales targets.
- Create sales support materials for example Powerpoint presentations, demonstrations etc.
- Liaise with Commercial Assistant to design marketing campaigns/materials both in an online format as well as hard copy.
- Maintain internal communication channels through regular updates.
- Update and maintain sales status reports.
Success of the project will be determined on the uptake of the software. Targets will be discussed with the Managing Director on an ongoing basis.
Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
- Graduate in either Business or Marketing
- Excellent presentation and written communication skills
- Good team working skills; able to build effective relationships with clients/customers/fellow work colleagues
- Negotiation skills
- Good computer skills; competent user of Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to use initiative
- A positive attitude towards new tasks and achieving business goals
- Excellent organisational skills
Desirable:
- Capable of dealing with clients/customers at a senior level
- Ideally some prior sales and marketing experience either through degree or work experience
- Experience with database management. In particular Microsoft Excel and Sage Act

On-going contracts with the NHS and corporate customers have allowed the company to continue to expand employing over 30 members of staff including a full time fully manned service desk and 15 field engineers who can attend sites anywhere in Scotland.
