Technology Jobs Boost for Inverness

A Hertfordshire-based technology business is opening in Inverness with plans to create at least 51 new jobs in the area.

AVC Group PLC will open a contact centre, warehouse and trade counter in the Highland capital.

The main activities of the group are the service and installation of information technology equipment in the retail and financial sectors.

A number of new field engineers have already been recruited to the company.

Products produced by AVC include point-of-sale chip and pin devices, till systems, receivers for both satellite television and broadband, as well as computer systems such as servers and desktops.
