Scotland’s games industry has an established and growing international reputation, thanks to many innovative companies. Film and Broadcasting
Scotland has a thriving film and television production industry, and has a reputation as a creative place to make great films, award-winning television, and world-renowned digital entertainment. With over 100 Scottish-based production companies, production activity in Scotland is the highest in the UK outside London. There are three major broadcasters – BBC Scotland, STV, and Channel 4, and a thriving independent production scene.
Journalism, Marketing, PR, Advertising, Publishing
Scotland has a large newspaper and magazine publishing sector with several national titles and a large number of regional titles. In addition to journalism, skills in demand include: graphic design, pre-press, marketing, advertising sales, sales promotion, event management, distribution, research, business support services.
Scotland has a large number of advertising and marketing agencies, the majority of which are concentrated in Glasgow and Edinburgh. Most organisations in both the public and private sector will also have dedicated marketing and sales departments.
