Their European Technology Centre designs and develops financial software and technology to support J.P. Morgan's operations around the world. This includes support for back office systems, trading functions, risk management and mobile applications.

Underlining their growth plans, JP Morgan recently signed a new 10 year lease on its existing Glasgow base in Waterloo Street, taking sole occupancy of Alhambra House.

Among the new posts recruited this year, JP Morgan plans to employ 50 new graduates. There are currently around 1,000 staff working at the Glasgow base, which is one of the largest IT employers in Scotland. In the past 18 months, the centre's headcount has grown by 200.
