The principal objectives of the role are:
- To find, qualify, and secure commercial deployments of our products with customers and business partners in Europe
- To become a trusted technology application consultant to business partners and customers
- To develop comprehensive responses to tenders, including the drafting of proposals and construction of priced offers
- To provide local response and support to business partners and customers in the region
The post will report on a day-to-day basis to the company’s Commercial Director and will be expected to provide updates to the wider team on business development activities.
Essential criteria
The candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Native-level German and excellent English language proficiency
- An excellent graduate or post-graduate degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Four years of relevant professional engineering or development experience
- Project management abilities
- Confidence with interdisciplinary team-working in a high-technology environment
- Good verbal communication skills and attitude, with an ability to convey technical information in clear and simple terms
- Ability to prepare concise, accurate, high-quality documents and presentations including business cases and proposals
- Self-motivation and an ability to work autonomously, efficiently, and rigorously including the ability to manage own time and workload effectively
- A desire and ability to travel to meet customers and partners in person
Differentiating criteria
- Customer-facing or embedded experience with electrical power operators
- Based near – or willing to relocate to – NW Germany or SE Holland
- Familiarity with power engineering and asset management
