IceRobotics is a privately-owned company which was launched in 2002 to pioneer new automation technologies and management systems for use in dairy farming. The company specialises in remote monitoring and decision support systems based on the use of accelerometer-based motion sensors. Its engineering expertise includes wireless sensor design and manufacture, embedded software, statistical data analysis, and cloud systems development.
In 2010 the company won a John Logie Baird award for early stage innovation in recognition of its new CowAlert system for dairy farmers. This system has since become a class leader, and is now in widespread use by dairy farmers across Europe, with installations in the USA and Australia too.
IceRobotics is currently recruiting to expand its R&D team to address further opportunities in the dairy industry and in new markets.
