Reporting into senior management and a range of internal departmental heads, the Graduate Business Improvement Specialists will become part of the Organisation and Progress Improvement department. Your job is to make things work better, slicker, reduce waste, improve the flow and process of material through the business. You will ensure the application of business improvement methods to achieve business solutions against a myriad of projects, in a culture built around empowerment, ownership, taking decisions and having unique ideas. This could include working with information systems, modelling, layouts and process optimisation.
Naturally only the best will do. Educated to degree calibre (min 2:1 / 1st or MSC/MBA preferred) in an Engineering, Scientific, Maths or Manufacturing discipline (manufacturing/operations degree preferred), you are a highly analytical problem solver with a head for numbers. This will suit candidates who enjoy solving problems, have a highly inquisitive mind, and enjoy working as part of an integrated team. Confident and people facing you enjoy interacting with other people.
This role will suit recent graduates and those candidates who are looking for a career change and the chance to get onto a proper learning and development programme and career path. We would be especially keen to hear from candidates who have previous work or placement experience in a business environment, and any candidates with exposure to lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma methodology.
We will consider candidates from across the EU, but candidates must be prepared to relocate close to the plant in Dundee, and should expect some international travel to other sites as part of the role.
The starting salary will be dependent on experience, but we envisage c£23-28,000 plus benefits.
