What we do
Building Scotland’s international competitiveness through innovation, internationalisation, investment and inclusive growth.
Reflecting the core vision set out in the Government’s Economic Strategy, we want “Scotland to be an innovative, high wage and high productivity economy that competes in international markets and focuses on high value goods and services". To achieve this, we want to ‘shift the dial’ in Scotland’s economic performance.
Our strategic priorities
We’re guided by four critical, but closely-connected drivers of growth. Addressing these growth drivers will underpin everything we do and the way in which we engage with our partners, stakeholders and customers.
Internationalisation - Encouraging international trade and investment to build on Scotland's global reputation.
Innovation - Inspiring Scottish business growth through inventive new products and processes.
Investment - Helping secure investment to allow companies and sectors to expand internationally.
Inclusive Growth - Developing our talent to boost Scotland's dynamic, entrepreneurial workforce.
