At Specialist Partners, we work with employers and candidates to ensure the best match for both. This ensures we look at Job Descriptions, Person Specifications, Location, Transport links etc before we decide on our strategy for finding the right candidates to place in front of our employers.
With the acknowledged shortage of certain skills in the UK, we also look further afield to find and engage with candidates. Our service for candidates includes ensuring they are fully aware of the role, the business and the location of the work.
We can provide information on the location, availability and cost of accommodation, transport links etc. We will also direct the successful candidate to the JobCentre National Insurance registration office to ensure they are compliant with tax requirements. What we cannot do at this stage is assist financially with relocation from the EU or outwith the EU. We will however endeavour to explore this option with employers on a case by case basis.
New arrivals to the UK, may of course take a little longer to settle in, so we do also provide after placement care, and can act as a mediator with the employer in the event of any early issues.
Essentially our service is quite easily defined. We attract candidates, we review their details. In the event of a potential match we progress to discussions and interview with the candidate to ensure we have a good basis on which to proceed to submit them as potential employees for the employer.
The employer then interviews and either declines or offers.
At no stage do we charge a fee for our services from the candidate. We are engaged by employers and are paid by them on a successful placement. We also work with employers who pay above minimum wage and normally only those who pay the current ‘living wage’ level.
We comply with all the requirements of the legislation covering recruitment/employment agencies.
