Edinburgh's School of Chemistry is one of the world leading research centres in chemical sciences.

The integrated School of Engineering was formed in 2002 from the various individual departments to address diverse and complex challenges across the entire field of engineering, at the micro- and macroscopic/global scales.  

Informatics is one of seven schools in the College of Science and Engineering, at the University of Edinburgh.

The Division Biomedical Engineering at the University of Glasgow brings together four important research themes with the School of Engineering, associated with Advanced Medical Diagnostics, Rehabilitation and Assistive Technologies, Cell and Tissue Engineering and Synthetic and Systems Biology.

We bring together internationally-renowned experts in order to advance research in medical, veterinary and life sciences.

In August 2010, the former Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Electrical Engineering and Mechancal Engineering combined to form a new School of Engineering.

The Sea Mammal Research Unit (SMRU) is part of the University of St Andrews' Scottish Oceans Institute. The SMRU Instrumentation Group has been at the forefront of marine mammal telemetry equipment for over 20 years and has an unrivalled international reputation for developing innovative products to advance both marine mammal and oceanographic science.
